Public Notice – Unknown or Unclaimed Deposits

Please refer to the attached file (Click here to Download the PDF file) consisting of a list of accounts that were closed more than 3 years ago. The owners of these closed accounts failed to claim their refunds back and in terms of Financial Regulation, paragraph 55 ” all money in the Council’s possession which is not claimed by the person legally entitled thereto within a period of three years from the date upon which such money legally becomes payable, shall become forfeited to the Council. No claim for the payment of such money to any person shall thereafter be considered”

This is a second request issued to the owners who are legally entitled for these refunds to provide such proof to the municipality before 15th of October 2n13. In order to claim your deposit sufficient proof must be provided. Please submit your banking details to assist with the transfer process.
