Notice of Public Hearings: Redetermination of the Boundaries of Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality
Notice is hereby given that in terms of Section 21 of the Local Government Municipal Demarcation Act, No 27 of 1998, read with Sections 24 and 25 of the Municipal Demarcation Act of 1998 and Section 2 of the Structures Act, 1998, Mangaung Metro will hold public hearings to present the decision of the Municipal Demarcation Board with a view to receive public inputs and comments therefore so as to inform the Municipality’s submission to the Board.
The Municipal Demarcation Board decision relates to the proposed changes to the outer boundaries of the Mangaung Metro as indicated herein below.

| DEM308 | In terms of Section 21 of the Local Government Municipal Demarcation Act, No 27 of 1998, the Municipal Demarcation Board has re-determined the municipal boundaries of Masilonyana Local Municipality (FS181), Lejweleputswa District Municipality (DC18) and Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality (MAN), by excluding various Farms including Ikgomotseng/ Soutpan community from the municipal areas of Masilonyana Local Municipality (FS181) and Lejweleputswa District Municipality (DC18) and by including it into the municipal area of Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality (MAN). |
