Water Supply Interruptions in various parts of Mangaung
Residents of Mangaung Metro are hereby informed that Bloemwater is experiencing raw water pumping challenges at Welbedacht water treatment works. The issue started last night, and is linked to lightening experienced in the area on Sunday, 05 March 2023. This has affected levels of main reservoirs i,e Brandkop, De Hoek and Uitkyk that are supplied by the mainline from Welbedacht to Bloemfontein. Bloemwater has assured the City that it is working around the clock to resolve the challenge at the plant. Water quality will not be comprised, although water quantities may be reduced, which may lead to interruptions. It is estimated that repair work will take approximately 36 hours.
