Public Notice: Water Supply Interruptions due to ESKOM Maintenance

Residents of Mangaung Metro are hereby notified of possible water supply interruptions due to a 12 hour emergency ESKOM shutdown, which is required for maintenance on the 88Kv line on Thursday, 05 December 2024 from O6HOO until 18HOO.

This maintenance will disrupt the ability of the Vaal Central Water (VCW) system to pump water to the Brandkop reservoir. Once electricity is restored, it will take approximately six hours to restore pressure to the affected pipeline and resume water supply to Brandkop. The following areas might be affected:

• Dewetsdorp, Wepener, Mafera, Phelindaba, Rocklands, Phahameng, Pellissier, Ipopeng, Turflaagte, Bergman Square, Pentagon Park, Phase 4,5,6,7 & 9, Peter Swart, Heuwelsig, CBD, Estoire and adjacent areas, Ednau Road, Bayswater, Namibia Square, Willows, Dan Pienaar, Bainsvlei, Vista Park, Gardenia, Freedom Square, Wilgehof, Batho Location, Bloemspruit, Glasshouse and adjacent buildings, Universitas, Hamilton Industrial Area, Lourierpark and adjacent areas, Ryenecke Avenue.
